Why millions of people are still using the tech giant’s platform for social media

I feel that Facebook is always in the news. The tech giant was first conceived in 2004 and still expanding. But even with fierce competition in the social media space, Facebook is here to stay. Here are 5 reasons to keep using Facebook.

1.) 2.80 billion monthly active users

Worldwide, Facebook has 2.80 billion MAUs (or Monthly Active Users) as of February 2021. Even with competition from Google and Snap, Facebook is still bulldozing along. Zuckerberg’s brain child platform is too big to ignore.

2.) 25–34 is most common age demographic

This is great news for online businesses who want to reach this demographic. It’s true that Facebook is not as popular in the 17–24 demographic due to a strong presence in social media by Instagram and Snapchat. But as these platforms are skewing younger, Facebook’s core user base is still using the platform. Facebook for social media has a lot of staying power which is good for business.
